Positive Active XML ∗
نویسنده
چکیده
XML is a data model and representation format for semi-structured data. It is becoming the standard for data exchange between web-applications. The access to XML data is facilitated by Web Services, programs over the web that take XML parameters and returning XML results. The increasing popularity of XML and Web Services have led to a new generation of document, called Active XML documents (AXML), where some of the information is given explicitly while some of it is given intensionally, by embedded calls to Web Services. Consider as an example an AXML document that represents a Jazz portal. This document contains some extensional data such as a list of Jazz CD’s reviewed by the portal and some intensional data that is not given explicitly but could be materialized by invoking some Web Services, e.g., Jazz CD’s that are reviewed by other portals. The goal of the paper that is summarized here is to provide a formal foundation for AXML documents and to examine fundamental issues they raise.

Verifying Recursive Active Documents with Positive Data Tree Rewriting
This paper considers a tree-rewriting framework for modeling documents evolving through service calls. We focus on the automatic verification of properties of documents that may contain data from an infinite domain. We establish the boundaries of decidability: while verifying documents with recursive calls is undecidable, we obtain decidability as soon as either documents are in the positive-bo...
متن کاملApproaches to Implementing Active Semantics with XML Schema
In order to enrich XML with event driven, active behavior, the Active XML Schema approach defines active behavior within XML schemas along metadata, and stores traces of active behavior such as occurred events within XML documents along data. The semantic expressiveness of XML Schema, the schema language recommended by the W3C, however, is not sufficient to define the active semantics of Active...
متن کاملApply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML
As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

Due to the increasing number of documents, XML, effectively organize these documents in order to retrieve useful information from them is essential. A possible solution is performed on the clustering of XML documents in order to discover knowledge. Clustering XML documents is a key issue of how to measure the similarity between XML documents. Conventional clustering of text documents using a do...
